The 2023-2024 LA County Poetry Out Loud competition will be judged virtually by January 28, 2024. Student videos must be uploaded by the local Poetry Out Loud host (teacher, admin, coach) by Friday, January 19, 2024. Judges will follow Poetry Out Loud guidelines and scores will be cumulative. 

The 2024 LA County Poetry Out Loud Celebration will be an in-person on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 6:30 P.M. at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. Students will select one poem of their choice to perform. This will not be judged. Students can chose a poem from the POL anthology or a poem they wrote. Some restrictions apply. The LA County Poetry Out Loud Celebration will be open to the public.
